Hurricane Michael Deployment
Yesterday, the NCR-IMT deployed 7 members to Florida to assist in preparedness and response efforts in regards to Hurricane Michael. The majority of the NCR members left at approximately 1130 hours yesterday morning and joined with 6 members from Central Virginia-IMT and Hampton Roads-IMT on the way.
The team is prepared for a 14-day assignment, but the duration will depend on the assignment, which is currently unknown.
Hurricane Michael is currently a Category 4 Hurricane with wind speeds near 145 MPH. You can follow updates on Hurricane Michael at the National Hurricane Center's website.
